Cora Joy

Bachelors Physio & Pilates

Physiotherapist & Clinical Pilates Instructor

Cora Joy is a physiotherapist who graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from Trinity College Dublin. She has developed a strong passion for musculoskeletal physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation, and Clinical Pilates, with a particular focus on helping patients build strength, confidence, and independence throughout their rehabilitation.

Since graduating, Cora has helped patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, sporting injuries, and persistent pain. Her approach combines evidence-based assessment, hands-on treatment, and tailored exercise prescription to help patients return to the activities they enjoy.

Alongside her physiotherapy work, Cora has extensive experience teaching Clinical Pilates and has completed additional training in both Pilates and Women’s Health Physiotherapy. She enjoys incorporating Pilates-based rehabilitation into her treatment  approach where appropriate to help patients improve strength, mobility, movement control, and confidence. She also has experience using shockwave therapy as part of the management and rehabilitation of a range of musculoskeletal conditions. Her additional training in Women’s Health has further developed her understanding of the unique physical needs of women across different stages of life, allowing her to provide individualised and holistic care.

Cora believes that successful rehabilitation starts with understanding each person's unique goals. Whether helping someone recover after surgery, return to sport, manage a long-standing injury or chronic condition, or simply move more comfortably in everyday life, she works collaboratively with her patients to develop personalised treatment plans that are both effective and achievable.

She has a particular interest in sports rehabilitation, running injuries, women's health, lower back pain, shoulder rehabilitation. She enjoys empowering patients through education, ensuring they understand their condition and feel confident managing their recovery long after treatment has finished.

Outside the clinic, Cora has a passion for sport, with a background in Gaelic football and judo and currently playing AFL. She enjoys staying active through training and hiking, as well as travelling and spending time with family and friends. Her active lifestyle gives her a personal understanding of the importance of movement and staying healthy, which further fuels her passion for helping patients achieve their goals and return to doing the things they love.
