Ashley Baker

Pilates & Yoga Event Manager

Ashley is a Yoga and Pilates instructor. Growing up in California, she was fortunate enough to have been exposed to Yoga early on in high school and completed her 300 hours yoga teacher training in 2015 with an extra certification in yin yoga. She discovered Pilates at Bounce Rehab over seven years ago when she moved to Sydney and found it to be the perfect strengthening balance to her movement routine. She also found it to be the ideal rehabilitation for an ongoing injury that was impacting her yoga practice.

Ashley is a firm believer that yoga and Pilates are the keys to a great wellness practice. Although Ashley loves all versions of yoga and Pilates, she gravitates toward the slow flow and the yin nature of things. She believes it is important to take time to connect with and take care of our bodies amidst the busy pace of life. She encourages all her students to meet their bodies where they are at.

Yin is how she fell in love with Yoga and was inspired to become a teacher. After years of teaching, it was only a natural progression to become a Pilates instructor as well, given the mind body connection Pilates offers. Whether it is through finding surrender and stillness on the yoga mat or strengthening connection and mindfulness within the body on the Pilates reformer, Ashley enjoys helping others achieve balance in their movement practice and everyday life.
